January ~ February, 2012 ~ The eBA Basketball Statistics Annual Clinic, carried out with the graduates of the courses until 2010, has achieved its goal in the current semester and has completed the task of the eBA Basketball Statistics Book program. Over the next two months, January and February, eBA Annual Clinic will be at our traditional vacations, when half of the the participant enjoy their summer, while the rest stay "at home", next to the heater, ordering the next task ! Happy Holidays !

Enero ~ Febrero, 2012 ~ La Clínica Anual eBA de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto, que se lleva a cabo con los egresados de los Cursos hasta el año 2010, ha logrado su objetivo en el corriente semestre y ha finalizado la tarea del programa de Libro eBA de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto. Durante los próximos dos meses, Enero y Febrero, la Clínica Anual eBA estará de vacaciones tradicionales, cuando la mitad de los participantes goza de su verano, mientras el resto se queda "en casa", junto al calefactor, ordenando las próximas tareas ! Felices Vacaciones !
Un informe de lo actuado durante este exitoso semestre, fue publicado en la Clínica eBA ~ Site News ( sobre la columna derecha, al tope ).

"... As you surely noticed, the participants at the eBA CLINICS ONLINE rewrite, correct, enhance and update every thread at our Basketball Statistics Forums, as part of their practical work. Now we are merging all the unitary messages and similar ones in a common thread ( thus reducing the number of topics ): and the threads are categorized according to the eBA Basketball Analysis System contents, which is a more practical approach to the search at the Basketball Statistics Study Forums.
"....When a team shoots a high percentage from the floor, the number of second chance opportunities will distinctly be smaller, but the efficiency of the second chance possession is not a function of the number of second chance opportunities in a game.
Consequently, if teams have higher efficiency during second chances than first chances, a team's game efficiency, taking all the different aspects into account, is nearly always increased only because the offensive rebounding. By contrast, since that relationship appears alternating, the important objective of collecting and evaluating data is in the bonus possessions produced by the net offensive rebounding differential.
A well balanced team would be more effective on second chance points than on first chance points because, on most first chance possessions, the defense is accomplished and the offensive team must attack the set defense to find their scoring opportunities.
In whatever manner, with possessions that go on with an offensive rebound, the defense is often lacking order at the instant of the rebound, and these possessions often end with either a foul [the most effective method of scoring] or a tap-in or other relatively easy shot.
Only when the offensive team decides to withdraw the ball back out following an offensive rebound and run its half court offense would the defense have an opportunity to reset itself.

Como seguramente Usted ya habrá notado, los participantes en las CLINICAS eBA EN-LINEA reescriben, corrigen, aumentan y actualizan cada hilo en los Foros de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto, como parte de su trabajo práctico. Ahora estamos unificando ("merging") todos los mensajes unitarios y aquellos similares en un hilo común ( reduciendo así el número de tópicos ): y el hilo está categorizado de acuerdo a los contenidos del Sistema eBA de Análisis del Baloncesto, lo cual es una aproximación más práctica a la búsqueda en nuestros Foros de Estudio de las Estadísticas.
"....Cuando un equipo lanza en un alto porcentaje desde el campo, el número de segundas oportunidades serán menores, pero la eficiencia en las posesiones en segunda oportunidad no está relacionada con el número de oportunidades en segunda instancia en un partido.
Consecuentemente, si un equipo tiene una mayor eficiencia en las segundas oportunidades que en las primeras, la eficiencia de partido de un equipo, es casi siempre incrementada solamente por el reboteo ofensivo. Por contraste, desde el momento en que las relaciones parecen ser recíprocas, el objetivo importante de la toma y evaluación de los datos son las posesiones extras producidas por el neto de los rebotes ofensivos.
Un equipo bien equilibrado debería ser más efectivo en sus puntos de segunda oportunidad que en los de primera instancia porque, en la mayoría de las posesiones en primera instancia, la defensa está establecida y el equipo ofensivo debe atacar el sistema defensivo para encontrar sus oportunidades de conversión.
Por el contrario, con posesiones que continúan con un rebote ofensivo, la defensa está a menudo desordenada en el instante del rebote, y esas posesiones a menudo finalizan o con una falta personal (el método de lanzamiento más productivo) o con un tap-in (conversión de palmeo) u otra conversión relativamente fácil.
